Vision Software is a multiple award-winning software development
company, specialising in the Corporate Real Estate and Commercial
Property Management sectors in both New Zealand and
Australia. Vision also supplies New Zealand's only specialised
Body Corporate Management software solution (to the New Zealand
market only).
Vision Computing was founded in 1988 by
John Nottingham (BVSc), who developed New Zealand's first
Windows-based Veterinary Practice Management solution. VisionVPM
became the most comprehensive integrated veterinary practice
management system in Australasia and was purchased by Provet
in February 2007.
With a background in the IT industry since 1980, Mike Dennehy
joined Vision in 1994 and helped to develop and market Vision's
first property solutions - Real Estate Manager and
Property Manager. These two products found ready acceptance
in the real estate and property management industry, and
helped Vision to become the market leader in both
sectors in New Zealand.
In 1997 Vision was named Best New Business in the Tauranga
Regional Business Awards.
In 1998 Vision restructured, sold the Real Estate Manager
software and commenced development of two further property
solutions - VisionCPM (Commercial Property Manager) and VisionBCM
(Body Corporate Manager). Property Manager was upgraded and became
VisionRPM (Residential Property Manager), and Vision's trading name
became Vision Software, to more accurately reflect our core
business.
In 2000 we welcomed Baden Turley as a Director. Baden came with
a strong background in accounting, real estate and commercial
property management, and helped us to develop and refine our
flagship VisionCPM solution.
Vision Software Australia Pty Limited was incorporated in 2004,
we employed Preeti Bajaj as National Manager Australia and set up
our first office in St Leonards, Sydney.
In December 2004, Vision sold its residential property
management software interests to Console New Zealand Ltd, and no
longer operates in the residential market.
In April 2005 Vision Computing changed its company name to
Vision Software Limited, in line with our trading name.
In October 2005 Vision won the prestigious award of Best
Business - Service Industry in the Westpac Regional Business
Awards, and received a special Judges' Commendation for a business
with outstanding potential.
In March 2007 Baden Turley left the business and
ownership is now shared between John Nottingham and Mike
Dennehy. In 2007 we also formally launched our newest flagship
product: VisionCRE, a comprehensive integrated Corporate Real
Estate solution. We have continued to develop VisionCRE - click here for more
details.
In February 2008 we appointed Diane Stanbra as Business
Development Manager, New Zealand and opened an office in Auckland.
Diane is responsible for business development and some account
management in the New Zealand market, and Mike Dennehy manages
the Australian market.
Vision Software continues to grow, with renewed focus on
developing domestic and international markets for our Corporate
Real Estate and Commercial Property Management software solutions.
Vision currently employs over 20 staff, situated at our
offices in Mount Maunganui and Auckland.
